The Sporlan® suction line filter drier method of cleaning up a system after a hermetic motor burnout is favored by service technicians and recommended by manufacturers throughout the HVAC industry. This method uses filter driers, specifically the suction line filter drier systems, to achieve the most practical and positive protection of the new hermetic motor compressor. This is due to the lubricant refrigeration mixture being filtered and purified just before it returns to the compressor.
